Campus Life

Student Life at DPA

Denver Prep Academy isn’t just about classes, assignments, and tests. Nor is it just about practices, games, and personal training. That’s because, at DPA, we know that student-athletes aren’t just students nor are they just athletes. Our high school students are people. They want to find friends, have new experiences, and have a fun campus lie.

And DPA loves that! We want our student-athletes to have an amazing undergraduate experience. After all, inspiring our students to pursue achievement doesn’t stop in the classroom or court. The beginning of a lifelong friendship or the discovery of a treasured hobby are also achievements in themselves.

To that end, we are encouraging the development of robust student life and campus culture. Through various programs and opportunities, we hope to really make life memorable and wonderful for our students.

Campus Culture

Being a Yeti means being part of an exceptional school. We are building a culture based on hard work, mutual respect, and focus. But we’re also here to have fun! Our students will get to enjoy a wide variety of activities and events that will help build camaraderie and great memories. Some of the activities we’re looking to have include:

  • Movie Nights
  • Ski Trips
  • Gaming Tournaments
  • Camping Trips
  • Concerts
  • Sporting Events
  • Food Festivals

School Clubs

A school newspaper, a gaming league, a literature club, a runner’s group – there are dozens upon dozens of clubs our students might be interested in, and we want to embrace those ideas. DPA encourages the formation of student clubs and provides support as our student-athletes explore topics and activities that interest them.

Outdoor Adventures

DPA is located near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and that means adventure is always just around the corner. In our home county alone, there are 250+ miles of trails, 25+ parks, and 55,000+ acres of preserved lands. Hiking, mountain biking, trail running, bouldering, and camping are all readily available, and that doesn’t even get into winter sports. This is Colorado, after all, and that means prime access to skiing and snowboarding slopes. So when you join DPA, get ready for an exciting campus life!

Denver Prep Academy is looking to establish close relationships with various charitable organizations throughout the Denver Metro area. From food kitchens to helping build homes to local activism, we encourage our students to get involved with the community. Not only will this help make the world a better place, but it will also greatly enrich the campus life experiences of our students.
